Today is Shrove Tuesday, when it is traditional to use up the butter, eggs and milk in the house before Lent by making pancakes. I’d be happy to eat pancakes every single day of the week, so it was no trouble at all to knock up some soft fluffy little numbers tonight and douse them in golden syrup and lemon.
